A very trying day for everyone, where the course was the undoubted winner.
It really was survival of the fittest with the weather conditions and the greens running faster than we have seen for a long time.

Just managed to edge home despite a good comeback from Richard Sadler in the afternoon. Starting with a 6 on the 1st in the afternoon wasn’t ideal with a one shot lead, but managed to get through the tough first 7 holes relatively unscathed and then had a steady back nine culminating in a birdie-birdie finish for 72.
