The New Members evening held on Monday 4th July turned out to be a roaring success, with some 50 new and existing members joining in the evening.

The evening started with a 4ball golf competition which was played out in glorious July early-evening sunshine. Congratulations to Richard Bird, Craig Graham, Trevor Perry and Paul Garey on winning the golf.

Complimentary Pimms and soft drinks were followed by an excellent Fish&Chip supper, expertly prepared by our caterer Sandy Brabbins.

Congratulations to Sean Rice on winning the New Members Survey Prize Draw, and thank you to the Club Professional for providing the Golf Lesson.

The evening continued with a Committee update from Chairman Craig Graham on the recent new members survey, the current positive financial position and outlook and the on-going negotiations with the Local Authority for Practise Facilities.

The evening was concluded with an open Question & Answers session which provided the new members with an opportunity to field questions and feel part of our growing and evolving club.

Just a short note to sincerely thank everyone who was involved in arranging the event last night, it was a most enjoyable evening, good company, “some” good golf and all very professionally organised, it just reaffirms my and my friends decisions to join Moseley Golf Club. The Captain of Moseley Golf Club is hosting a new members evening at Moseley Golf Club on Monday 4th July, 2011.

It is of critical importance to the club and the members that we give our members every opportunity to enjoy their membership at MGC. In attending this event, the General Committee hopes it will help facilitate this and is part of their focus and drive to ensure all members are gaining the most from their membership.

The format of the evening is planned to be -

• 5:30pm Meet and Greet
• 6:00pm 9holes of 4ball Better Ball, 1 score to count. 100% handicap
• Complimentary Drinks, meet up with new Social members.
• Introduction from Craig Graham, Chairman & Paul Blake, Captain.
• Findings & Action Plan resulting from recent New Members Survey
• Prize Draw for completed Surveys. Prize is Golf lesson with Martin Griffin.
• Open Floor Questions and Answers with Committee Members
• Fish & Chips/Burger supper
